"Without hesitation we would recommend you and look forward to using you again in the future. The children thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and you provided a well planned event that all ages could enjoy."

Story Board
Mrs. Picklebottom, the librarian, tells Buster, Suzy and Chester about a time capsule that was buried when the library was built in 1963, 50 years ago with instructions to be dug up the Summer of 2013.
Suzy's father, Mr. Simon, brings tools to the library to dig up the time capsule. Everyone's excited to find out what's inside.

Chester brings in the "heavy" equipment while Buster and Suzy set to work digging up the floor of the library (with the very special permission from the regional director...don't do this at home.)
Everyone's excited to see what's inside the time capsule.
The first thing they pull out is a weather board.  The pigs take turns using the weather board. Wait a minute! There's something fishy going on. Every time Chester looks away from the weather board it moves...very mysterious and funny!
While Suzy and Buster pick out costumes for a play, Chester pulls out blocks to play with. How many blocks can Chester stack without knocking the pile over? Chester feels like something is following him...mysterious and HILARIOUS!
Now Chester has used all the blocks and he won't share. Suzy and Buster are arguing about whose turn it is to pick the parts for the play. Not taking turns and not sharing makes three sad and grumpy little pigs. They need help from Mrs. Picklebottom and the audience to sing "The Sharing Song". Singing the song helps everyone remember how to share and take turns.

Out of the time capsule comes the book "The Three Billy Goats Gruff". There are also costumes and directions for how to perform the book as a play. Working together, the little pigs put on a spectacular show! "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" features a special guest star: Mr. Simon, playing the Troll!
The next book that comes out of the time capsule is "Jack and the Beanstalk" also complete with costumes and play directions. Suzy plays "Jack" and Chester plays "Jack's mother".
Mr. Simon and Buster team up to play the giant. And with a little imagination, a toy frog can be the Hen that lays golden eggs.
The pigs and the librarian, Mrs. Picklebottom, replace what they took from the time capsule and add their favorite books, "Captain Underpants" and "Diary of a Wimpy Pig", and a new song, "Dig Into Reading!", and bury it for the next generation.

"The Blue Sky Puppet Theatre was wonderful to work with as a performer for the "One World, Many Stories" and "Dream Big, Read!" summer reading programs at the DC Public Library. The programs were tailored for our customers and complemented the themes of the summer reading programs perfectly. Original music compositions, handmade puppets and a full size puppet theater brought the shows "alive". Engaging for all age groups birth-99+."
